I don’t actually believe that people are so divided. The media and identity politics have been successful in dividing people certainly, but one’s individual truths aren’t so much different than another’s whether they realize it or not. If you took away identity politics and just asked individuals if they thought that having access to clean water, quality affordable healthcare, a living wage, a survivable planet, and a peaceful society, I believe you would get near universal agreement.
